A firm defined by certified expertise.
Certifications held across the staff, a seat on the Florida Water Star Technical Advisory Committee since 2008, and the Florida Irrigation Society’s 2022 Water Conservation Award.
The career that became the firm.
The philosophy of Insight Irrigation is a direct result of its founder's career. Aaron Smith began in 1981, learning the irrigation business from the ground up alongside his father, Ron Smith, an irrigation contractor in Lake County, Florida. That hands-on foundation was forged further as a mechanic in the United States Air Force, where he built a working understanding of the hydraulics, electrical systems, and computer controls that underpin modern irrigation.
After the Air Force his path led into technical design — Head of Irrigation Design at an engineering firm, then director of technical services at a national irrigation consulting firm. Insight Irrigation was founded in 2011 to close the gap between design theory and field reality, a principle the firm has since backed with its certification record and, more recently, with the platforms our clients' operations now run on.

This is not one person's credential wall. Every member of the team holds certifications relevant to their role, so from planning through diagnostics the work is handled by qualified people rather than delegated down.
